NO need to say anything about what this self-portrait was trying to say, except to state that the text in the work might need some re-stating here. That text goes thus:
    “THESE

    “‘twas the graphite, was part of the plan, and the Katipunan pounded the self-portraits with borrowed wisdom, from photographs of doom and then of a Lazarus rise from those. No fat. Just the hidden agenda of self-love, self-hate, self-flagellating charisma and charm, devoid of insanity but part of the plan, the graphite fat.”
